2022 Alicante Bouschet - 13.1% Alc./Vol.
The Wine
Big, bold and rich in color, Alicante Bouschet is one of 12 teinturier grape varietals in the world. Both the skins and flesh are red in color due to anthocyanin pigments compounding within the berry pulp itself (fancy!). Most red wines develop their color from the grape skins during the fermentation process. A cross between Grenache and Petit Bouschet, Alicante Bouschet was originally developed to be a blending grape, but we love showcasing this rare varietal all on its own. Best enjoyed on a cozy night in, piecing together your favorite puzzle!
