The Wine
{Pronounced All-eh-kont-ay Boo-shay} Big, bold and rich in color, Alicante Bouschet is one of only 12 teinturier grape varietals in the world, meaning both the skins and flesh are red in color due to anthocyanin pigments compounding within the berry pulp itself. Most red wines develop their color from the grape skins during the fermentation process. This is our first varietal bottling of Alicante Bouschet, a rare grape originating in southern France, a cross between Grenache and Petit Bouschet.
