The Wine
{Pronounced Coon-whaz} Blackcurrant fruit, cherry and baking spice. Counoise is originally from the Southern Rhône valley and is typically blended in Châteaunuf-du-Pape. A delicious wine as a varietal as well offering nice fruit and a hint of pepper.

The Winemaking
Fruit was hand picked and destemmed. Fermented in open top fermenters and aged in neutral 225L barrels. Only 190 cases produced.
Pairs with glazed ham, roasted acorn squash, or blackberry cobbler.
